GUEST INFORMATION

Attractions

If you have time while you're in town, consider a visit to the State Fair of Texas. Or if your ambitions are more lofty and less fried, take advantage of the museums and exhibitions in the Dallas Arts District.

Airports

Dallas is served by two airports: DFW and Love Field (DAL). DFW is a big busy airport, served by many more airlines and flights, and is 30 minutes to an hour from downtown Dallas depending on traffic. DAL is much smaller but very close to the city (~15 minutes) and is primarily served by Southwest, with some Delta and Virgin flights.

Hotel Accommodations

We have arranged a block of rooms at the Sheraton downtown (400 N Olive St, Dallas, TX 75201). These rooms include complimentary internet and a discount on parking ($15 per 24 hours). As an alternative, any hotel in the downtown area will be relatively close to the venue and most of the dining, drinking, museums, and other attractions.

Getting Around

Wedding Bus: There will be a large bus leaving the Sheraton at 6:15pm on Saturday and going to the venue. It will return at the end of the reception. For more details, please visit the "Ceremony" page.

Taxi: We're not in New York anymore. If you aren't at an airport or a hotel and you want a cab, you'll likely have to call. (214) 426-6262 for Yellow Cab.

Uber and Lyft: Both are very active in the Dallas area, and relatively affordable fares (but beware peak hours). If you create an account, get your first ride free (up to $20) by using my referral code LR7IY on Uber (fare estimator here) and MARC260452 on Lyft (fare estimator here).

Rental: Dallas is a driving city but somehow not a parking city. Finding parking is often an adventure if you aren't content to valet (which is often complimentary + tip). Even hotels generally charge for parking. The ceremony and reception will include complimentary valet.

Public Transit: DART provides light rail and bus service throughout the Dallas area. The Sheraton is immediately next to the Pearl/Arts District station, which serves all light rail lines. The Orange line goes to DFW airport, but the trip between those stations will take over an hour. Check the website here for schedules and other information, and note that trains do not run as frequently as they do in civilized places.
